Omar Thomas: Breaks World Record at the Junior Olympics

Ten-year-old Omar Thomas ran a 56.58 400m at the 2021 AAU Junior Olympic Games breaking the age-group world record. The previous mark was set in 2002 at 56.83 by Kenneth Gilstrap.

Thomas Jr. of Fort Lauderdale had previously set the eight-year-old boys 400m record & continues to show immense promise for a future in track knocking down records
